CONSENS partners actively participated in the ProcessNet-Jahrestagung und 32. DECHEMA-Jahrestagung der Biotechnologen, which took place in Aachen, Germany on Sept. 12th–15th, 2016.

ProcessNet is the German Platform for process engineering, chemical engineering, and chemistry with over 5,000 experts from science, economy, and administration. The annual meeting took place in Aachen, Germany, with over 350 participants to exchange experiences, to discuss current issues and new scientific to identify trends. Industry 4.0 was one of the main topics of that meeting.

Simon Kern (BAM) gave a talk on „Ugly spectra and lousy interfaces – Challenges for compact NMR spectroscopy in process control” (Simon Kern, Klas Meyer, Andrea Paul, Michael Maiwald) whereas

Jörg Appel (Clariant) had a survey lecture Big Data – Analyse-, Bewertungs- und Implementierungskompetenz für Industrie 4.0 (“Big Data – Analysis, Evaluation, and Implementation Competence for Industry 4.0”).
